Meeting Minutes – April 2014

 

Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 10th April 2014 at 8pm in the Village Hall.
Present: Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. A. Beaney, P. Sillibourne, D. Guy, Mrs F. Burt. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison, Mrs A. Tanton and the Clerk, Mrs  M. Shaw. 
Declarations of Interest: Cllr. P. Sillibourne on Public Right of Way AE566 and Cllr. A. Beaney on the Village hall.
Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, after the addition of “parapet wall over the Sedbrook sewer” these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr.  D. Guy seconded by Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison.
Matters Arising: Sewage problems along Bromley Green Road – two letters have now been sent to residents by Southern Water, but there is no progress on the actual remedial work taking place. Test dyes have been put down drains and surface water pipes, which has now prompted that it may a multi-agency problem. The earliest possible date for any remedial work being carried out could be June 2014. Cllr. J. Martin is proposing that a meeting is held with all interested parties and with the possibly of the media being involved. Continue reading

Meeting Minutes – March 2014

 

Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 13th March 2014 at 8pm in the Village Hall.
Present: Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. A. Beaney, P. Sillibourne, D. Guy, Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison, Mrs A. Tanton and the Clerk, Mrs  M. Shaw. 
In attendance: Two members of the public. Borough Councillor, Mrs J. Martin.
Apologies: Cllr. Mrs F. Burt.
Declarations of Interest: Cllr. P. Sillibourne on Public Right of Way AE566 and Cllr. A. Beaney on the Village hall.
Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr. A. Beaney, seconded by Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison.
Matters Arising: Sewage problems along Bromley Green Road – letters have now been sent to residents by Southern Water, but there is no progress on the actual remedial work taking place. The tankers are still pumping but only after notification by the residents.   Cllr. J. Martin updated Councilors from her knowledge.There is to be a meeting to discuss “Flooding” in general at Ashford Borough Council on 27th March. Continue reading

Meeting Minutes – February 2014

 

Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 13th February 2014 at 8pm in the Village Hall.
Present: Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. P. Sillibourne, D. Guy, Mrs F. Burt, Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison and Mrs A. Tanton, and the Clerk, Mrs  M. Shaw.
In attendance: P.C.S.O. Andrew HucksteppBorough Councillors Mrs J. Martin and W. Howard.
Apologies: Cllr. A. Beaney
Declarations of Interest: Cllr. P. Sillibourne on Public Rights of Way.
Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr.
P. Sillibourne, seconded by Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison.
P.C.S.O: P.C.S.O. Andrew Huckstepp was introduced to the meeting and gave details of his role in the Community and gave his contact details to councillors.  He provided an up to date report of the problems in the surrounding area which could possibly occur in the Parish, he was unaware of two crimes which had occurred recently. He would attend meetings whenever possible and was thanked for his atttendance and he then left the meeting.
Matters Arising: Sewage problems along Bromley Green Road – tankers had been pumping constantly during the torrential rain. A meeting had been held between Southern Water, Cllr Tanton, Mr & Mrs Hunt, (who are very knowledgeable about the sewage system since its inception). Letters will be sent to residents to explain the current situation. There is a warning system to show where problems are occurring but this system will be surveyed shortly. Continue reading
