|Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, Thursday, 15th June 2017 at 8 p.m. in Ruckinge Village Hall.|

|Minutes:||The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record.|
|Matters Arising:||Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road – nothing further. The updating of the laterals is in progress.
Ashford Borough Council, Litter and Dog bin survey – this had been submitted by Cllr. Mrs. M. Hills.
Treasurers Account as at 31st May 2017 £ 20,712 – 22
The Internal audit had been completed, the report was received and the Audit form Duly submitted to the Audit Commission.
Mr. J. Cantor was formally appointed as the internal Auditor for the financial year 2017 – 2018
Half year Precept, Support Grant and Concurrent Functions grant £ 5,250 – 00

The Clerk had circulated her Administration book and this was approved.

17/00632/AS Willow Tree House, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge.
17/00870/AS Ashwell Lodge, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge.Erection of a single storey rear kitchen extension. This was supported.
17/00848/AS Silver Birches Caravan Site, Capel Road, Ruckinge.Variation of condition 2 on planning permission reference 12/00044/AS to allow the total number of caravans sited to be increased by 1 to 27. The Council raised no objection.
17/00170/AS Meadow View Industrial Estate, Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge. Use of land for stationing of caravan for overnight security purposes ancillary to Meadow View Business Park (resubmission of 15/01657/AS).
|Fairview Industrial Estate:||Nothing further. the Enforcement Officer, Tony Jarvis will not return to work until the end of July.|
The securing of the new picnic tables was discussed and arrangements made for their Positioning.
Concern was expressed about the ragwort which is very prolific on the field – agreed to contact Aspire for a quotation.
A Football Club is interested in using the field on a regular basis. This was discussed and it was agreed to invite the gentleman to the next meeting to explain that whilst the Parish Council would like the field used there are no changing or toilet facilities as the Bromley Green Hall is entirely separate from the Parish Council.
It was agreed that the “Carters Field” sign need updating giving a bit more history and information – Cllr. A. Beaney will obtain quotations.
The planted trees now need staking, they have been sprayed around to prevent weeds.
|Cherry Tree Paddock:||Appeal – the final part of the appeal was held on 22nd January and the result of this is awaited.|
|Highways & Byways:||
There has been two incidents of fly-tipping along Capel Road.
Dimon Hill access – nothing further. Abi Close of Ashford Borough Council to be reminded again.
Obstructed PROW – nothing further. Cllr. Mrs M. Hills will contact the complainants.
Notification from Kent County Council, Seasonal, Permanent Traffic Regulation Order for Byways AE563 and AE566, Ruckinge.
“Speeding Signs etc. ” – a letter had been sent to Bilsington explaining that at the present time Ruckinge will not be able to participate in the scheme due to legal difficulties
The Chairman had attended their AGM and reported thereon. The hall car park needs ‘tarmacing’ and quotations will be obtained.
|Village Protection Plan:||Nothing further at the present time. Cllr. Mrs. T. Cliffe-Harrison will contact Cllr. Martin.|

|Footpath Warden:||Nothing further.|
