|Minutes:||The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record.|
|Matters Arising:||Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road – nothing further.
Ashford Borough Council, Litter and Dog bin survey – nothing further.

17/00390/AS Church Hall, Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge. Change of use and conversion of disused church hall into holiday let. The application was strongly supported.

17/00329/AS Land between Blue Anchor and Danehurst, Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge.
17/00494/AS Appledene Cottage, Poundhurst Road, Ruckinge. Single storey rear extension. The application was supported.
Prior Approval Is Given:-
17/00037/AS Agricultural Buildings at Noakes Farm, Ash Hill, Ruckinge. Prior Approval for a proposed change of use of agricultural buildings and land within curtilage to 3 no. dwelling houses.
|Fairview Industrial Estate:||Nothing further. The Borough Council Enforcement Officer is on leave at the present time.|
Cllr. P. Sillibourne has planted more trees, these will require regular watering due to the exceptionally dry weather. It was resolved that the cost of the spray chemicals to control ragwort etc., will be paid for by the Parish Council.
It was agreed to leave some of the field un-mown for the wild species to propagate.
Securing of the Picnic Tables was again discussed, it was agreed to have a site meeting the following Monday at 9 a.m. to discuss further.
|Cherry Tree Paddock:||Nothing further.|
|Highways & Byways:||
Speeding Signs” the sighting proposed to be near to Turves Farm is still causing legal problems. There are other complications and the scheme could possibly be shelved.
Dimon Hill access – nothing further.
The Hall Committee has now received two quotations for a new boiler.
|Village Protection Plan:||The Borough Councillor grant from Cllr. Miss J. Martin for £500 has been approved.
Cllrs. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison and Mrs. M. Hills will draft leaflets, for approval, inviting volunteers to carry out this plan. They will be meeting with Borough Councillor Miss J. Martin to discuss this further.

|Street Light:||The Street light had now been installed and is greatly appreciated by parishioners.|
|Footpath Warden:||Nothing further.|
|Items of Interest:||Cllr. Mrs M. Hills understood that PROW (by Athens Farm) is obstructed and will inspect a.s.a.p.|
|Date of the Next Meeting:||The Assembly of the Parish Meeting was agreed for Thursday, 11th May 2017, at 7.30 p.m. in Ruckinge Village Hall followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council.
