|Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, Thursday, 10th November 2016 at 8 p.m. in Bromley Green Hall.|

|Minutes:||The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr. A Beaney, seconded by Cllr. D. Guy and agreed.|
|Matters Arising:||Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road – there are problems with the pod by the Bromley Green Hall, elsewhere it needs to be ascertained between now and March where the laterals need attention and to whose property they relate to.
Dimon Hill access – nothing further.
Treasurers Account as at 31st October 2016 £ 19,029 -65
Maven Insurance., Picnic Tables claim £ 1,015 – 00
Budget for 2017 / 2018 – the Clerk had circulated a draft budget for the year 2017/2018 and this was discussed. It was agreed to obtain quotations for the fencing at Carters Field. and the possible replacement of the Heating Boiler for the Village Hall, which will also then need re-positioning.
It was suggested that the donations to the Halls should remain at £1,000 for Bromley Green Hall and increased for the Ruckinge Village Hall to £ 1,500.
The donation to the Churchyard upkeep to be increased to £ 200. It was agreed that Capital expenditure should be ring-fenced at £ 500, and £ 500 in reserve for eventualities.
The Clerks Salary to be raised to £ 3,478 – 05 in accordance with the recommended salary payable as from 1st April 2017 as negotiated by N.A.L.C and S.S.C.L.
The figures for the Support Grant and Concurrent Functions are not yet available from A.B.C. – until these are confirmed it was proposed by Cllr A. Beaney seconded by Cllr. D. Guy to Precept for £ 8.500, subject to agreement at the next meeting.

The Ashford Local Plan “Omissions” sites – these have to be considered by Ashford Borough Council before there will be another public consultation which will probably be late Spring.
Cherry Tree Paddock – enquiry will be held on 16th November 2016 at Civic Centre at 10 a.m.
Fairview Estate – nothing further.
|Carters Field/B.G. Hall:||
Following a site meeting it was agreed to obtain quotations for the replacement fencing. A Management Combination between the Halls is a definite possibility.
|Highways & Byways:||
The PROW AE 567 closure is “underway”.
|Village Hall:||This could possibly need a new heating boiler.|
Cllr. Miss J. Martin gave an update on various Borough Council matters. She gave details of the Village Protection Plan, which is being carried out by Aldington and Bonnington Parish Council and will forward further details to the Parish Council.
Cllr. W. Howard also attended and spoke about the “Aspire” a recently created department of Ashford Borough Council which is now available for contract landscape works.

|Items of Interest:||The Church Hall has been sold at auction.
It was noted that the Village Hall will now need to be open for use of toilet facilities when events are held in the church.
