|Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 14th April 2016 at 8.00 p.m. in Bromley Green Hall.|
|Present:||Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. P. Sillibourne, D. Guy, A. Beaney, Mrs F. Burt, Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison, Mrs M. Hills and the Clerk, Mrs M. Shaw.|
|Declarations:||There were none.|
|Minutes:||The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr. D. Guy, seconded by Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison and agreed.|
|Matters Arising:||Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road:Southern Water Agreement – following negotiations by Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison and Cllr. S. Denis it has now been agreed to pay £ 1,000 in accordance with the new agreement dated from 7th February to the 7th July and should this overrun then recompense at £ 200 per month. It was understood that a contribution will be given to the Bromley Green Hall by Southern Water for loss of use etc.|

Treasurers Account as at 31st March 2016 £ 13,974 -08
Cheques were drawn:
16/00384/AS 1 Ransley Green, Ruckinge. Proposed single storey porch extension, garage conversion to habitable space and erection of detached car barn. The application was supported.
16/00490/AS Ash Hill House, Ash Hill, Ruckinge. Proposed first floor extension over existing kitchen with 2 proposed dormer windows (revision to planning permission 15/00104/AS). The application was supported.
Enforcement Notice appeal, Cherrytree Paddock, Bromley Green Road – postponed, now to be a Full Enquiry.
Email regarding possible use by Football Club – it was agreed that at the present time it is not a suitable venue with the site being used for contractors vehicles. Also the field does not have any facilities as the adjoining Bromley Green Hall is privately owned and is separate from the Parish Councils control.
Fields in Trust, Woodland Diamond planting – these had been successfully planted on March 13th 2016, with some spare saplings. Thanks were extended to Mr P. Sillibourne and all helpers.
In view of the money to be received from the Environmental Agency it was suggested that Picnic Tables and Benches could be provided. The Chairman will investigate this further.
|B.G. Hall:||It was confirmed that there should be a joint committee for the Bromley Green Hall and Carters Field and it was agreed to invite Mr Martin Pepper to the next meeting, Cllr. Mrs T. Cliff-Harrison will liaise.|
|Highways & Byways:||
Hamstreet Road landslide – letter from Damian Collins M.P. enclosing a letter from K.C.C. Highways. Cllr. A. Beaney had replied to K.C.C. and had received an unsatisfactory reply. Cllr. Miss J. Martin has arranged a site meeting to be held on 21st April at 3 p.m.
There had been no response from UK. Power Networks regarding the light at North View – Clerk to contact them again.
|Village Hall:||The Chairman has resigned, it was agreed that Cllr. S. Denis will contact the Vice-Chairman.|
|Borough Cllr:||Apologies received from Cllr. J. Martin.|
|Items of Interest:||It was reported that nothing had been done regarding prosecution of the company who dumped the mattresses.
Fly-tipping is regularly occurring, most recently at the entrance to the canal, this was reported and was removed.
The new PCSO sent his apologies and forwarded an advisory sheet on “Protecting your Property.”
|Date of the Next Meeting:||Parish Meeting Thursday, 12th May 2016 at 7.30 p.m. in the Ruckinge Hall followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council.
